Can anyone give me some good study tips?
This is my first semester in college, and I can quite honestly say that it is really hard, mainly because I don't know how to study High school was quite easy for me, I never really had to study for anything. Now I have to study for everything and quite frankly I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing. To top it all off I get distracted by the simplest things facebook is doom and by the time I get back on track hours have passed Can anyone give me some helpful study tips?

This week is my exam week and I'm overwhelmed, bored, and dostracted looking at all my old tests and quizzes and was wondering if anyone knew any good studying tips that could help me study. Thanks

What are some study tips I can use to help prepare me for my exams?
I have my midterms this week. I have science tomorrow at 10 30 so I plan on going to the school library at 9 00 and go over everything I don't understand and review what I do understand. I have my french on Friday which is just a verbal conversation and our teacher will ask us questions related to what we've done this year. Math, what can I say, obviously, it's just math equations. I started studying math last Friday so I hope I'll have a bit more confidence by Friday. I'm a science geek, so I'm not too worried about science. One problem I have though is blanking out when I get really nervous, and forgetting what simple words mean a few minutes prior to the test. What can I do to help get all this in my head?Just simple study tips that work for you guys would be appreciated.Cheers

Good study tips please, Thanks!?

High school study tips?
I m in junior year of high school, and every single day is a struggle against homework. I am only taking 3 AP classes Bio, Lang Comp, and Psych but I still only get 5 hours of sleep a night. My friends are taking 4 or 5 and they get more sleep than I do. I can t concentrate at all on my homework and I have no time to do anything else. Taking meds isn t an option, and I ve tried to make myself pay attention during homework. I can t sit still and I keep drifting off thinking about other, extremely irrelevant things, and my grades are slipping.I get home at 4 and have dinner from 6 7. The rest is all trying to do homework, which literally takes me twice as long as anyone else. I get frustrated because I feel like crap and I know this isn t good for me or my academics, but I honestly cannot concentrate. Do you have any tips for me? Thanks to everyone who answers.

First time college student athlete study tips?
I'm in my first year of college on a golf scholarship that has now been revoked due to my terrible GPA 1.9 I have one semester to figure it out or ill be off the team and wont be able to afford it. I have all the motivation in the world, but there is an issue. Last semester I studied for at lease 8 to 12 hours for a midterm or final and would get D's and there intro classes, and walking out after the test I felt confident. I'll be honest I didn't go to class all the time witch might be a huge factor. I have a prescription for Adderall witch has helped me significantly in focusing and motive. So with that my question is, what are some successful study tips that work either by personal experience or knowledge? I'm hoping for whatever advice because I'm at the verge of loosing everything I have worked for and do not want to be that guy that shatters his dreams because of grades. I appreciate any advice, food, sleep, memory or any other habits that will aid to my success. Thanks.

Does anyone have any good study tips for completing a home study diploma?
I have recently started a 12 module home study diploma. I am trying to find the best technique for taking all the information in. My fianc e suggested reading the content module by module, recording it onto a dictaphone and playing it back whist out and about, exercising, doing housework etc. I have just spent an hour reading half of module 1 into my recording app on the iPhone only to lose the data. Frustrating I have no time limit but would like to get through it fairly quickly. My usual technique would be to copy main points and re read what I have written down before answering the end of module tests. Any advice guys???
